The bulb/pump can be used to generate test pressure, but you'd need a different guage. Most get a mity vac and make pieces as needed. To use this, block off the engine in the usual manner, and attach the hose from the tester, and for pressure testing, open the bottom valve while leaving the other two valves closed, then slowly turn in the regulator to bring the static pressure up to about 10 psi. I'm sure stihl or husqvarna does but they will be brand specific and only work on so many models outside the brand they were designed for. Along with what lakeside53 said about using gas mix, diesel fuel or kerocene work great on carb gaskets/diaphragms too. The scale on a handheld bp manometer only goes up to 300 mmhg. Pressure should not drop below +0.6 bar. Looking at the ipl for the carb, i made a couple mistakes.

I would like to be able to check compression, and leak down of the combustion chamber, as well as testing fuel lines, impulse lines, crank seals/base gaskets, as well as pressure and vacuum testing carbs for diagnosis.
