Chainsaw Compression Tester

Chainsaw Compression Tester - Equal pressure in both locations). Plugged it to a compressor with 2 guages which read within a few pounds of one another. I plan to take the schrader valve out of my compression tester hose and hook my pressure tester hose up to it. I have compared all 3 guages with my air compressor and they are all 3 very close but the 2 automotive ones are around 20 psi lower than the stens on a chaimsaw. So, i have a really nice matco compression tester for auto engines however it seems to read small engines low. Pretty much every automotive compression tester with the interchangeable hoses i have seen has the schrader valve on the gauge. I used a brand new compression tester i purchased off of amazon, and yes i did the worn out 460 had 105 psi, and an all original flathead 066 that runs pretty well for a retired falling saw hit 125 psi. All compression testers should have a schrader valve unless your using it for cyl leakage test, i've been a mechanic since 1980 , the gauge isn't new but its always served me well , i put a aftermarket piston and cyl on it today and it fired right up , haven't measured compression yet , but judging by the way it pulls its gonna be good So i assembled a g660, and thought i would test compression. The long rubber hose between the gauge and the engine probably doesnt help.

Looks like it has a rigid brass stem. Plugged it to a compressor with 2 guages which read within a few pounds of one another. I'm having some issues doing it via the impulse hose on a husky 350 and am curious if i can try it through the plug hole? At the very least all the compression testers need the small engine schrader valves on the very tip of the adapter that threads into the sparkplug hole, if. That could put some stress on things, much more so than one with a (flexible) hose. The long rubber hose between the gauge and the engine probably doesnt help. Maybe they wanted to reduce the internal volume of the tester? I need to use the 10mm thread adapter for the chainsaws i'm testing, does the use of a thread adapter on a small volume combustion chamber alter the compression reading vs using no adapter. The 2 i have give me lower readings than the stens.

Equal Pressure In Both Locations).

Maybe they wanted to reduce the internal volume of the tester? I'm thinking that chainsaws and weedeaters dont really move enough air volume for accurate readings with an automotive tester. I'm looking at your 5605 compression tester to use on 2 cycle chainsaws. I assume i would hook the impulse hose back up to the intake.

I'm having some issues doing it via the impulse hose on a husky 350 and am curious if i can try it through the plug hole? All the compression testers with the long hoses on them will be inaccurate for small cylinder chainsaws, the piston just does not displace enough air to get the long hose filled to capacity. I need to use the 10mm thread adapter for the chainsaws i'm testing, does the use of a thread adapter on a small volume combustion chamber alter the compression reading vs using no adapter.
